Affiliate partnerships
Some pages — only those labeled Buying Guide or Review — include affiliate links. If you click one and buy or request a quote, we may earn a commission. That does not change the price you pay.
We use partner networks such as Impact and (when approved) Amazon Associates. Links may include internal tracking codes (SubIDs) for attribution. Those codes do not include your name, email, or other personal information.
What we do
- Recommend products and services we believe are relevant to LA readers
- Keep affiliate links out of straight news articles
- Label sponsored or paid placements separately as Sponsored or Paid
What we don’t do
- Invent traffic numbers, rankings, or “#1 in LA” claims
- Hide that a link is affiliate
- Put affiliate modules inside news reporting
Editorial independence
Commerce guides are written for readers first. When a brand pays for a placement, that placement is labeled. Organic picks and paid placements are not the same thing.
Other revenue (when live)
We may also sell clearly labeled sponsored content or, later, display ads. Display advertising (ads.txt / AdSense) is not live until separately cleared — this page will be updated when that changes.
